The movie “The Secret” revealed how to use the Law of Attraction to attract your desires to you. Millions of people around the globe tuned in and began to practice the techniques presented in the movie. Then people began to complain that the methods didn’t work or that they didn’t work to the extent that people wanted them to.

There is good reason that those that put their heart and soul into it, didn’t get the results that they were hoping for. The Secret focused on the Law of Attraction, but the Law of Attraction is only part of the equation. The Secret failed to present the other 10 Universal Laws. In order to manifest your dominant thoughts, you need to become aware of all of the laws and put them into practice.

Bob Proctor, who was one of the highly successful individuals starring in The Secret, came out with a program that taught the 11 Forgotten Laws. Proctor states that the Law of Attraction works and it works for everyone, everytime. There are no exceptions. You attract into your life whatever your dominant thoughts are and whatever you are in harmony with.

The 11 Forgotten Laws of the Universe include:

  1. The Law of Thinking
  2. The Law of Supply
  3. The Law of Attraction
  4. The Law of Receiving
  5. The Law of Increase
  6. The Law of Compensation
  7. The Law of Non-Resistence
  8. The Law of Forgiveness
  9. The Law of Sacrifice
  10. The Law of Obedience
  11. The Law of Success

Once you begin to understand how the Law of Attraction works in harmony with the other 10 Laws, and you apply what you learn, you will see that the Law of Attraction truly does work every time, without fail.

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be blogging about each of the 11 Forgotten Laws. In the meantime, there is another law that is not listed in Bob Proctor’s 11 Forgotten Laws, but it bears mentioning because it intertwines with each of the 11 Laws and it is the law on which all of the other laws are based.

The law that I’m referring to is the Law of Cause and Effect. In order to understand this law, we must understand that everything in the Universe is energy and that all energy is connected. Energy is constantly moving and constantly changing. With everything being connected, what happens to one thing must have an effect upon another. For every action there is a reaction, or for every cause there is an effect. Similarly, every effect has a cause.

A person’s thoughts, words and actions are the cause and they always result in an effect. This means that every circumstance in our lives is a direct result of our thoughts, words and actions. We create our own reality. The Universe ultimately, through a series of events and circumstances, brings us the effect of our original thoughts, words and actions.

A great example of the Law of Cause and Effect is karma. When we do something ‘good’ by others, something good comes to us. Likewise, if we do something ‘bad’ by others, something bad happens to us.  This belief is absolutely true. It is the Law of Cause and Effect at work. Knowing that this law applies to all things in the Universe, we can use it to our advantage. By thinking positive thoughts, we attract positive people and events. When we say and do the right things, we attract positiveness into our lives. If our predominant thoughts are of fear and worry, we attract the things we fear and worry about. If we focus on having thoughts of love and prosperity, we attract those things into our lives.

In my next blog post, I will present the first of the 11 Forgotten Universal Laws, the Law of Thinking.

What are your thoughts on the 11 Forgotten Laws? Were you aware of them, or only of the Law of Attraction? Leave me your comments and don’t forget to share this post on your social media sites if you believe it offers value.

  1. Hey there Wendy,

Great post. Now that you mention it The Secret DOES leave all of these very important laws out of the equation. That is kind of a shame because for The Secret to REALLY work you need to be implementing all of these laws to manifest everything you want.

It’s quite the powerful stuff, thanks for sharing this post.

  3. hi Wendy – topical post. I think in our desire to give every observation a label we can become a bit too literal.

I prefer the slightly diluted label – lets call it a law – the law of tendencies – whilst we are generally attracted to those with similar mindsets as our own – it still takes application to actually manifest our desires – just hanging around doesn’t cut it – but our tendencies to think, act, and develop in accordance to our beliefs massively increases our chances of success –

    Thanks for sharing

  4. Wendy,
Thanks for starting a series on such a great subject. LOA is just one part. Having the vision and connection to source to even KNOW what you want to attract is much more important to me. Otherwise, it’s all ego driven and the world is manifesting way too much of that already. Look forward to learning more.
    Thanks,
    Adam

  5. Hey Wendy! I actually never knew about the 11 forgotten laws. I think the law of attraction is great and I love learning more and more about it. I am glad I read this post. By the way I love the look of your new blog design, looks like you have been doing a lot of work.

  6. The 11 laws really are the complete picture. I’ve posted an article here about the great success I’ve had in applying these laws.

  7. Wendy, I’m so glad I came to your blog to find your thoughts on the Law of Cause and Effect. I agree with you that this law “is the law on which all of the other laws are based”. You make me feel good about myself because I usually choose to think positive thoughts even when everyone around me sees doom ahead. I always see a light at the end of a tunnel. Even if the cause of my positive thinking does not appear to have an immediate effect, I do get peace of mind. And my peace of mind is something I guard as my greatest treasure. And my peace of mind is my starting point to choose to begin “doing good” and “attracting good”. Here’s a happy thought: without TSA I would have never found you but I did. And now, thanks to you, I look forward to reading and digesting and enjoying your other posts like I did this one.

  8. Wendy,

When I came across your well last post on on the series of the 11 Forgotten Laws, I just had to start from the beginning, which lead me to this post.

I look forward to going through each law to learn, practice and have manifest in my life.

Thank you for sharing these laws.

  9. Great article! A person’s thoughts, words and actions are the cause and they always result in an effect. – that is so true. I have seen a movie called “the water” or so, telling from the scientific point of view that the water has a memory and is able to store information – negative thought and words said.

  10. I really admire your intellect! A very well-written article, which has pointed out the importance of the 11 Forgotten Laws. Thank you so much for this post. Hope to read more of your posts in the future.
