In the previous five posts, we have looked at the Law of Cause and Effect, the Law of Thinking, the Law of Supply, the Law of Attraction, and the Law of Receiving. Next up is Law number five, the Law of Increase.
The Law of Increase simple states that when you ‘give’, you receive more in return. For example, the more you invest in your business, the more it grows.
Like all of the Laws, the Law of Increase applies to every aspect of your life, not just money and business. The more you invest in your personal growth, the better you become and the higher your potential becomes. The more you invest in your relationships, the more you get out of those relationships. The Laws of Increase deals with increasing and improving every aspect of your life.
It is not about giving in a charity aspect. It is about giving or investing of time, love, teachings, investment dollars, compliments, encouragement, listening, value, inspiration, etc. How do you feel when someone pays you a compliment? It makes you feel good, right? So, when you meet people, whether you already know them or are meeting them for the first time, look for something you can compliment them on. Make sure you are sincere. People can sense when you are not being sincere or genuine and your compliment will have the opposite effect of what you intended.
The more you step outside of your comfort zone and expand your mind and experiences, the more you learn, grow, build confidence and self-esteem, increase your potential, etc. Taking risks, bravely facing your fears and stepping outside your comfort zone increase your chances of attaining your dreams and reaching your true potential. You don’t want to look back on your life and wish that you had taken those steps, wondering what you could have been or what difference you might have made in the world. Don’t have any regrets – invest in yourself and others, invest in things that inspire you, invest in your business and in your dreams – and witness the power of the Law of Increase as you reach your true potential.
The Law of Increase is also about expressing gratitude. When you live with an ‘attitude of gratitude’, you are in harmony with the things that you appreciate and desire in life. You can see how all of the 11 Laws are interconnected here – consciously being in a state of gratitude attracts more of the things that you are grateful for.
Think about how Ebenezer Scrooge became grateful for all of the things and people in his life. He became generous, not just with money, but also in his relationships and expressing his love. How much joy did his gratitude and generosity bring him? How much did this increase the quality and value of his life.
Before Scrooge ‘saw the light’, he was rich, but not wealthy. He became wealthy – financially, physically and spiritually – when he became filled with gratitude and generosity.
The Law of Increase deals with increasing and improving every aspect of your life. No matter how great your life is, there is always room for improvement and growth.
In the next post, we will look at Law number six, the Law of Compensation. Leave me your comments – what do you think about the ‘Forgotten Laws’? Do you incorporate all of these laws into your daily life?
Wishing you great success!

Hi Wendy – This really is the golden rule in action, isn’t it! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. When we focus more on giving than receiving, we end up receiving that much more ourselves. It was interesting that as I began reading your post, I was reminded of book I just finished (and commented on in my own most recent blog post), “Appreciation Marketing: How to Achieve Greatness through Gratitude”, the whole focus of which is the importance of expressing gratitude in everything we do, including constantly expressing appreciation to our current and potential customers and business partners. If we do that instead of constantly just trying to sell something, our success increase ten-fold and more!
HI Wendy
The more you give, the more you receive. I have found that when I take the focus off myself, my life is always blessed a hundred fold. When I worry about where my problems are going to get solved etc., I just get more of the same. Increase is about attraction, and open heartedness.
Thanks

Hi Wendy,
Most often than not, people tend to count the blessings they received and forgot to share their blessing to others. The law of increase reminds us that we should impart this blessings to others. It’s not just about the money but also the time, knowledge and effort. These 3 factors could be an investment and could change a person’s life. Without expecting of the things that you could gain from this, you would be surprise that you have received more than what you’ve given.

Jose
Have read a quote saying, “A person who isn’t grateful in small things is certainly not grateful for big things.” We should learn to appreciate simple things and I believe we can live a life extraordinarily. Thank you for your post. Have learned a lot from you!
I’ve heard about the law of attraction, never the law of increase, or some of the others. Interesting piece.
